Blog # 4– Incorporating New HR systems

It is not easy to incorporate new HR systems. People in general do not like change, look at the backlash whenever someone changes the layout for Youtube or Facebook! You must bring in people to train your HR team and then the HR team needs to train the employees. It takes time and money and the longer someone has been working in the company the harder it will be. Your most trusted employee could become your biggest obstacle. I think there are a few things you can do to ease the transition.
1.Let everyone know ahead of time that a new system is going to be put in place.
2.Give extensive information about the new system and offer classes for those who wish to take it.
3.Explain why the new system is better. It may be because of a new law or the system is better.
No matter what you do some employees may still be combative but there isn't much you can do and they will eventually get over it or quit. It will not happen overnight but a good HR system is the backbone to a good company so do not be afraid to change it.
