Communicating new policies and procedures to a large group can cause a big disaster if not done in a smart manner. The best way to place new policies for a large group is to have a group meeting. The second step is to give the group some time to understand and learn the new policies. Miscommunication in the healthcare field can lead to a disaster. For example if there is a miscommuncaion in a surgery room, it could cause the death of a patient. So the best way to avoid this is to make sure everyone knows the steps and procedures that will be going on during surgery. If a healthcare facility changes its policies or procedures, the best way to make sure everyone is on the same page is to conduct a group meeting with all employees. Communicating new policies and procedures to a smaller group is easier then communicating to a larger group. Taking steps such as giving everyone a quiz or test to everyone will also be a smart way to make sure the everyone understands the new policies and procedures

When communicating new policies I think it is very important that you ensure that the outcome is that everyone understands. It could be easier in small groups because you can talk to people one on one to make sure they get it. You can have them repeat the information to make sure they get it. This is harder if your trying to communicate to a big group. I think it is important that you give clear written instructions as well to make sure they understand, this is a good idea for small and big groups because people tend to forget things, especially if they had a bad day. Explain the information in easy to understand terms.

With new policies and procedures some companies can benefit from these changes and other companies can have their businesses suffer. Many times, changes might take time for a company to implemented and follow new procedures and policies.Depending on how the new procedures and polilices are handled it may have a new negative or a positve effect on their customers. I remember one time being in the doctors office and there was a patient in frontof  me that had to pay up to fourty dollars to be seen by the doctor because their insurance was not covering everything. When new policies and produres are introduced to large groups, many people will have questions that might not get answered and some people may leave confused. In small groups people will get more detailed information and then you will be able to get your questions answered. If I was working for a company I would like to hear about new policies and procedures in a small group because my questions will be able to get answered and I would be able to talk to manager directly.

    Electronic medical records are very valuable. In order for a doctor to search a patients medical history, they always need their previous medical documents. Electronic medical records come in place just in case a patient has lost or misplaced their medical records. In my opinion, this is a very valuble piece in the medical field and has contributed to alot successful surgeries and patient recoveries

I think that EMRs are very valuable. It can cause the patient a lot of relief. For example, Instead of having to get blood drawn for tests every time they go to a specialist or another doctor they can have it done once and it will be sent to every doctor in the state. Any allergies can be reported and available instantly. Patients can sometimes forget to list all their medications on forms. Having the list of all the medications on a computer can avoid a possible disaster from medications being given that interact negatively with each other.
I can not think of any reason they are dangerous besides a possible privacy concern. I believe that the benefits far out way those risks and hope that every doctor can align under one system to benefit the patients.

Blog 1 EMR

I believe the electronic medical records is a valuable resource for doctors to have. They will be able to keep track of which prescriptions that they have prescribed to patients. With them using this system, the medications that you are allergic, will be already noted on your file. I had one occasion where my doctor was about to give me a shot that contained pencillin, which I am allergic to. The computer system stopped him because I could not have the shot.
