Blog #3-Communication plan for emergency prepardness methods

The best way to communicate emergency procedures in a healthcare facility is to make a booklet with all the methods. Every employee should be required to read the booklet and then a test should be taken by everyone to make sure they understand. By providing the same resource for every employee, there will not be any confusion. Everyone will be on the same page with no worry  of wether the emergency procedures will be well understood. Once all the procedures are understood, then the steps can be taken to apply them throughout the healthcare facility. To avoid miscommunication and misinterpretation, making sure that every employee is on the same page with every policy that will be established is the way to go.

  1. Having booklets would be great have in case people forget what they should do.

  2. Its a good idea to test them, I agree. That way you know they actually read it.
