 Many times when you first hire people to work certain shifts, over a period of time their availability will change.Some of the people that you have already hired can only work certain shifts.Then on top of that you have to manage them all. When you have employees request off, you have to give them that day off as well as find someone else to work that shift. Then you will have people getting sick espically during the flu season, so you also have to perpared for that as well. When the schedules are posted there will be some employees that will complain about it and want there hours cahnged or they will shift hours with another employee. It is your job to make sure that when employees swift shifts that there is doucmentation to confirm swift. There is a ton of work involved in order to make schedules for a hospital staff.
